This is the industry standard for gyms, schools, and leisure facilities. It features integrated aggregates (like quartz or aluminium oxide) to maintain grip even when wet.

The best changing room flooring types prioritize water resistance, slip safety (for barefoot and shod users), and high hygiene control. Because changing spaces experience humidity, wet feet, and heavy outdoor shoe traffic, standard domestic flooring like basic laminate is not suitable.

2. Seamless Resin Flooring (Epoxy & Polyurethane)

Resin is poured directly onto the substrate, creating a completely seamless, self-smoothing finish that eliminates grout lines and joints where bacteria hide.

• Epoxy Resin (e.g., Sherwin-Williams Resuflor Deco Quartz): Offers immense chemical durability, standing up perfectly to rigorous daily disinfectant washes.

• Polyurethane (PU) Resin: Provides slightly more flexibility than epoxy, making it highly resistant to impact damage from dropped keys, weights, or hard-soled shoes

3. Anti-Slip Porcelain & Stoneware Tiles

Tiles offer a premium, luxury aesthetic ideal for high-end spas, hotels, and upscale health clubs.

• Porcelain Stoneware: Must be specified with an anti-slip texture (typically R10 or R11) for wet zones. Large-format slabs are preferred to reduce the number of grout joints, making them easier to scrub clean
