RECYCLED RUBBER PRODUCTS

Recycled rubber flooring is a highly durable, versatile, and sustainable flooring option made from discarded rubber products, primarily vehicle tires. It is available in rolls, interlocking tiles, and mats, and is used for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications.

How it's made

The process of making recycled rubber flooring involves:

  1. Sourcing: Obtaining used rubber products, most commonly vehicle and truck tires.

  2. Shredding: Breaking down the tires into smaller pieces.

  3. Grinding: Grinding the shredded rubber into fine particles called "crumb rubber".

  4. Purifying: Removing contaminants like steel belts and nylon fibers.

  5. Forming: Mixing the crumb rubber with a polymer resin to form new mats, rolls, or tiles, often with added EPDM chips for color
