Pride ~ Quality ~ Precision

Decorative concrete transforms standard structural concrete into a highly aesthetic feature by modifying its texture, colour, or finish. The primary types of decorative concrete include stamped concrete, stained concrete, polished concrete, exposed aggregate, and microcement overlays. These techniques replicate expensive materials like natural stone, marble, or timber while preserving the structural durability and cost-effectiveness of concrete.

DECORATIVE CONCRETE

DECORATIVE CONCRETE

Polished Concrete: Achieved by mechanically grinding down a cured concrete slab using heavy machinery fitted with industrial diamond-grit abrasives. The surface is progressively refined into a smooth, high-gloss, light-reflective state. It is an exceptionally durable option for modern interior residential floors and commercial buildings

SMOOTH & POLISHED FINISHES

Honed Concrete: A variation of polished concrete where grinding stops at a lower grit level. It exposes the aggregate underneath but leaves a smooth, matte finish rather than a glossy one. This creates an elegant yet industrial aesthetic that preserves non-slip properties for external patios

Terrazzo Concrete: A high-end bespoke mix where custom pieces of marble, quartz, or granite chips are added directly into the concrete matrix. The entire surface is then ground flat and polished to a flawless finish, showcasing a dense, speckled mosaic look.

SMOOTH & POLISHED FINISHES

Stamped Concrete: Also known as pattern imprinted concrete. This style involves pressing heavy rubber moulds into wet concrete. It perfectly replicates pavers, brick, slate, cobblestones, and even timber planks. It is highly popular for outdoor patios, driveways, and pool decks.

Stenciled Concrete: A design alternative to stamping where disposable paper stencils are laid over fresh concrete before a colour hardener is applied. Once removed, it leaves behind clean, uncoloured "mortar lines" that give the appearance of brickwork or geometric tiles.

Exposed Aggregate: Created by washing away the very top layer of wet cement paste. This uncovers the underlying decorative stones, river pebbles, recycled glass, or sea shells embedded within the mix. It provides a highly textured, slip-resistant finish ideal for public walkways and sloped driveways.

Stained Concrete: Uses chemical acid-based or water-based stains that penetrate deep into the concrete's pores. Acid stains chemically react with the minerals to create variegated, earthy tones resembling marble, whereas water-based acrylic stains offer consistent, vibrant hues.

Microcement & Overlays: Highly specialised polymer-modified cement mixtures applied as a thin skim coat over existing concrete. Products like Nikkolor Cemento 3D offer seamless, joint-free interior walls and floors with a minimalist concrete aesthetic.

Integrally Coloured Concrete: Pigment powders or liquids are mixed directly into the concrete batch before it is poured. This ensures the colour is completely uniform throughout the entire depth of the slab, meaning it will not chip, peel, or fade off the surface.
